Francis Ngannou is searching for a new home and Showtime Sports president believes he’s the right fit.

After a lengthy negotiation process that ended in failure, Francis Ngannou, the UFC’s reigning and defending champion of the heavyweight division, walked out of the organization. This was a remarkable move. Dana White believes that Francis Ngannou was attempting to make less money by fighting lesser opponents. However, “The Predator”, himself stated that he wanted more rights for fighters as well as the possibility of having boxing fights.

A few hints have been floating around about Francis Ngannou’s next destination. There are also plenty of promotions that offer to sign him. According to Stephen Espinoza, Showtime Sports President, Bellator appears to be determined to sign the number one heavyweight in the globe.

In an interview with Insider, Espinoza confirmed what Scott Coker, Bellator president, had said about Ngannou being signed by Bellator. Espinoza explained that the Cameroonian is best suited for them because of the close relationship between Bellator & Showtime. This opens up the possibility of PBC boxing crossovers with Deontay Wilder.

“Showtime & Bellator will give him the most flexibility and money for his buck, as well as the largest and most lucrative financial opportunity. It also allows him to work on all aspects of his career simultaneously.”

The future of Francis Ngannou will be revealed as time goes by. BKFC and the PFL were also among those who offered to bid for the former champ. This is without a doubt one of the most significant free agent stories in modern sports history.
