Sean Strickland Stops Abus Magomedov

Strickland, who had a tough start to the fight, dominated Magomedov in the second round.

The UFC returned for Fight Night in Las Vegas, which was devoid of high-profile fighters but had a few intriguing matchups. One such matchup included the middleweight main fight between Sean Strickland vs Abus Magomedov.

Strickland, who entered the fight as the UFC’s #7 ranked middleweight contender had a lot to lose if he fought Magomedov.

Strickland, who had been tagged by his opponent repeatedly in the second round to secure his first win since 2020, turned the tables on “Tarzan”.

Grant Dawson improved his winning streak with a dominant performance in the co-main fight of the card. He defeated Damir Ismagulov. Michael Morales, who is undefeated, won a unanimous decision against Max Griffin. Benoit St-Denis also took a first-round finish over the debuting Nursulton Rubziboev.

The rest of the show featured some very well-matched fights, and many up-and coming fighters who are trying to make their mark in the UFC. Elves Brener’s stunning upset victory over Guram Kuteladze was the highlight of the prelims. Rinat Fakhretdinov also ruined Kevin Lee’s comeback to the promotion.
