UFC legend Ronda Roussey is expected to make a spectacular octagon return — seven years after she quit for WWE.
Rousey (36) was once a top-name in MMA, after she participated in the first ever all-female UFC fight.
She has successfully defended her Women’s Bantamweight Title six times.
Rousey ended her career as a fighter in 2016 following back-to-back losses against Holly Holm, and Amanda Nunes.
WWE signed her up in 2018, the same year that she was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
Rousey is now a three-time champion.
In a shocking U-turn, ‘Roussey could be returning to the UFC.
Dana White, the chief of the Women’s Division, is said to be looking for a new name after Nunes retired.
UFC commentator Jon Anik believes Rousey would jump at the opportunity to make a sensational comeback.
After UFC and WWE merged in April, the path could become even more smooth.
Anik stated: “Ronda Roussey is probably the most deserving of such an opportunity.”
“I do think she’d be competitive, because she wouldn’t enter the setting without a guarantee of her being competitive.”
“If there ever was a moment, it is now.
I’m not going suggest that she would be the betting favorite against Julianna Penna or Raquel Penington.
“I can see why people are excited about the possibilities.”
