Jorge Masvidal, a UFC Star Claims Conor Mcgregor Turned Down a Huge Superfight

Jorge Masvidal, UFC welterweight, claims Conor McGregor “shot down” a massive super-fight with him in advance of the Irishman’s return.

McGregor was sidelined for almost two years following a bad ankle injury sustained in his second defeat to Dustin Poirier in UFC 264 in 2021.

McGregor has been very inactive in the Octagon lately, only winning two of his five UFC bouts. McGregor is now fully healed and is ready to fight again.

Many have argued why the UFC should welcome back the 34-year old fighter to their ranks. Masvidal, a former challenger to the welterweight title, was one of those.

Masvidal stated Monday that McGregor turned down a possible fight and was confused by the size and number of the fight.

He said, “I want Conor but Conor doesn’t want me. It sucks.” He doesn’t want it. He shoots it down every time the UFC brings it up. “I don’t understand why. I believe I am bigger. He thinks I am faster than me, and we both know that I hit harder than him.”

“So, while I understand it stylistically, it’s not the best thing for him or his brand. “I’m not only going to beat him with the f**king brakes, but I’m also going to do it in an unflattering way for his brand. It’s going to be done on my feet.

Dana White revealed that McGregor will make his return at some point in 2023. However, the UFC boss has no opponent nor date in mind.

White spoke with The Daily Mirror and stated that he had been sharing videos of himself training, and that he just finished filming a movie. “He is determined to return next year.”
