Freddie Roach impressed Pacquiao throughout his Day 1 training in United States for Spence battle

After all these years, I’m still surprised at the terrific condition he’s in when he comes down to training camp, Freddie Roach says.

The time Manny Pacquiao’s shots landed on the mitts, Freddie Roach felt happy. The Hall of Fame coach makes sure their training camp for Errol Spence will be a breeze, as always.

” If this is how Manny hits with jet lag, I might require to get brand-new mitts with more thick padding for our next training sessions,” stated Roach.

” He was extremely sharp for his 1st day. He struck hard with great strength,” he informed press officer Fred Strenburg on Monday, July 5 after his 1st workout session with Pacquiao in 2 years at his Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood.

They’ve been doing the exact same thing for twenty years from Pacquiao barged into the United States boxing scene in June 2001 by taking the International Boxing Federation super bantamweight belt coming from Lehlo Ledwaba, who passed away July 2 at his home town in Southern Africa caused by COVID-19.

No surprise that Pacquiao, now boxing’s only 8-division world champ, keeps on awe Roach.

” After all these years, I’m still impressed at the terrific condition he’s in when he comes to training camp. After traveling across the globe the other day, he put in a complete day here– mitts, speed bag, shadow boxing– the works.”

” The greatest part was at the end, when he raised his t-shirt to reveal me his six-pack and stated, ‘Freddie, I’m still here.'”.
