Francis Ngannou, the newly crowned PFL Heavyweight Championship, is determined to keep on rolling in both the cage and ring.
Ngannou made his long-awaited comeback to mixed martial arts competitions this past weekend, in Riyadh. He debuted for Professional Fighters League.
The Predator, who headlined the second pay-per view event of the year for the promotion, brutally returned to the sport when he knocked Renan Ferreira unconscious in less than four minute.
The Cameroonian returned to winning after a devastating defeat at the hands Anthony Joshua in March.
Ngannou, who appeared on the Monday episode of Uncrowned’s The Ariel Helwani Show, looked forward to 2025 and what he might face. He also speculated on which combat arena he would be fighting in.
Ngannou seems to be in a state of confusion about his next moves, and he doesn’t appear to be more knowledgeable than the rest of the public.
Ngannou stated, “It’s either boxing or MMA.” “I’m not sure yet. I have no involvement in this. I have no decision to make. It also depends, I believe, on the promotion. I don’t really know. We’ll probably work on this if the PFL comes up with another idea that includes a fight, or a date. If it’s boxing then the same thing.”
The organization may look to book “The Predator”, who now has PFL gold to protect, for a PPV early next year. Helwani was told that the heavyweight champion would return in 2025, probably during the second quarter.
The PFL is concerned about a lack options, as opposed to the opposition to “The Predator”.
Ngannou won’t worry about it for the moment and instead will celebrate his successful return to MMA which he dedicated on October 19 to his son Kobe.
