Dmitriy Aryshev obliterates opponent with brutal left hook knockout

It doesn’t feel as though the MMA scene has yet gotten into full swing. Although the UFC did have its first pay-per view this weekend, which gave us a new light-heavyweight champion, the resolution of the Brandon Moreno/Deiveson Figueiredo Tetralogy and the octagon debut by the Super Bonfim brothers, personally, I am still reeling from the sad stories outside-of the cage that dominated the first few weeks of 2023.

The Missed Fists fight scene has yet to deliver the combat sports bizarreness we are all accustomed to. However, I suppose I should be thankful that we can focus on exciting finishes and not, I don’t know, Mongolian cattle bones breaking.

You know that something like motorcycle chainsaw kickboxing will soon be popular, so let’s keep it simple and focus on the good stuff while we have our time.

Dmitriy Aryshev, the middleweight main fight at AMC Fight Nights 117 Moscow, won his fifth consecutive fight. He put Marcio Santos on wobbly feet with a left hook, and then escorted him to his dream street with a second left. Aryshev has won all of his fights during this stretch by knockout. According to Aryshev’s 13 wins have been within the distance, while eight of his losses have been on the scorecards. This is the type of consistency we love to see in these parts.

Since making his professional debut in 2015, Aryshev has gone 16-8-1. A 29-year old had previously been awarded a 29 second TKO of Shamil Rajazanov at Hardcore FC33 in June. Since September 2019, Aryshev is unbeaten.

Santos’s professional record is now 18-8-1. Gennadiy Kvalev, 33, had defeated Santos via rear-naked choke in May at AMC Fight Nights 111.

AMC Fight Nights 117 featured many spectacular finishes. Dmitriy shevorakov earned a 48 second KO of Denis Gvozdev during their heavyweight bout.
